2009 WVL Developmental Division Championship Games: STC vs. St. Scho

Yesterday was the last of the series of Pumkin's volleyball games being part of the STC Volleyball Team. It was the championship games for the Developmental Division of the annual Women's Volleyball League (WVL) Tournament organized by Milo.

We are all excited with this game as we are hoping that STC bags the 1st place this time having been a 3rd placer in QCAA and 2nd placer at CEAPS. A 3-2-1 progress sounded great.

The championship games were held at the UP Gym with the first game from the Competitive Division. Vying for the title was San Beda College Alabang vs. St. James Academy, the latter winning after 4 sets.

Competitive Division Champions: St. James Academy

The Theresians were nervous as they started the battle and eventually won the first set on 25-18 score. The 2nd set was crucial but eventually pave the way for St. Scho to fight further with the score of 23-25. Until finally at third set at the score of 19-25, St. Scho was declared champion.

The Theresians were emotional at the end of the game. Not because they lost but because this was the last game of the senior players (Pumkin included) as they graduate this March and say goodbye to their alma mater and their team.
